Default 2 questions in one post

Looking at a Super Zoom type camera. If you had $400, (give or take $25) what camera would youi get?

What would be the best camera for around $225?

Given exchange rate(I'm in the UK)- and cheaper US prices- the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 or Canon's SX40HS should come in at your price range.
If you can get it around $225- the Canon SX220HS is a nice little all rounder.

For the cheaper camera also look at Canon S95 if you don't need long zoom. It's getting cheaper now that the S100 is out.

if i had $400, definitely the fz150.

not sure at $225... depends on what i'd be using it for. maybe the panasonic ZS8. it's got good zoom for the price, PASM, stabilization. not the best quality images, but i like a little more zoom, so compromise happens.

For $400, I'd think about the FZ150. At $225, I'd take a look at the Pany FZ47, which B&H has for $199 right now. I don't own either of these cameras, but this is probably where I'd start looking.
