Default Canon IXUS 230 HS(also called ELPH 310 HS) or Canon Powershot SX150?

I NEED--- Low noise, and good detailing for MACRO SHOTS and Regular family portraits

Size and Zoom dont matter!
Other suggestions are also welcome

Canon IXUS 1000 HS- whilst not being "wide" angled at 36mm,this does have the effect of getting you closer to your subjects in macro mode, which is as close as 1cm on this camera.
Maybe consider also the IXUS 300HS with it's f/2 lens- which should help in lower light conditions- quite often a side effect of getting close to a subject...!
The IXUS 230HS is quite a decent little compact, with fairly low noise levels and a 1cm macro capability.
The SX150 is a "jack of all trades" compact (ish...),with lots of useful features and a good zoom range. IQ is maybe not quite up the the CMOS counterparts, but is good value for the price.

Thank you so much for the reply.
But in my country (i.e India) both 300 HS and 1000 HS aren't available.
Besides,i think that they are out of my budget and i will have to limit myself to the 200$ range.
Well, if the IQ isn't "as" good on the SX150, then I think that I will go for IXUS 230.
And how about NIKON COOLPIX P300?? its price is similar to IXUS 230..

dpkml- Nikon's P300 is a very nice little compact.
Pretty good image quality,a fast f/1.8 lens to aid low light shooting, pretty responsive autofocus and burst modes, full manual, auto and semi auto modes,a nice and simple flash release (take note Canon...) and a 3cm Macro capability.
