Default Best low light compact camera for $200-$250

Hi all,

I've searched the forum already and found a few models but all of them are too expensive for me, If smb could advise me a good camera for low light shooting, it will be used mostly at work for shooting damaged cars in a low light environment (evening, night, rooms with low light and so on...), please don't advise the cameras below, too expensive for me.

Code:
Nikon Coolpix P310
Canon PowerShot S95
Canon Powershot S100
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5
Canon PowerShot SD 4000 IS
Samsung TL500
Thank you.

As I post this, the LX5 is $249 at Amazon US. It's 4:00 AM East coast time.

Thank you, but I have to buy it in a local market, can't order online and this model in my country is much more expensive.

Ok, Ill better place a few models that are in my price range and available at the moment so it would be easier for you guys to advise a good low light camera.

Code:
Nikon S 3300
Fuji Finepix JZ300
Samsung WB150
Nikon S6300
Canon IXUS 125 HS
Canon PowerShot A4000 IS
Olympus SH-21
Sony DSC-H90
CANON IXUS 230 HS
CANON PowerShot SX230 HS
SONY Cyber-Shot DSC-H70
SONY Cyber-Shot DSC-WX7
If it's possible to advise the top 3 models, the winner, 2'nd and 3'rd places.
*not to forget it should have the timestamp option (I think nowadays all of them have it).

Thank you.

Hopefully this isn't too off topic.... but I post it here in case it will help anyone. I'm not so sure on point-and-shoots, but if anyone needs a nice low-light camcorder / video camera, try this review guide that has links to Amazon: Best Low Light Camcorders.

For what it's worth, I would recommend the two Canon PowerShots you listed as top contenders. I prefer the A4000. I don't really know if either has timestamp, but you could look up manuals?

I was also looking for a good low light pocket camera.

I finally got the Black Friday deal on Amazon for the Canon Powershot S100 (US$229). I haven't received it yet, but according to some reviews it has a good low light performance (f/2.0 lens).

Right now is available at Amazon for US$249, a good price IMHO.
