First and foremost, the A58 has a 20MP image sensor while the A57 and A37 have 16MP sensors, and the A58 has an OLED electronic viewfinder while the A57 and A37 use an LCD viewfinder.

The A57 has a 3 inch LCD monitor, while the A37 and A58 have a 2.7 inch monitor, though the resolutions are 230K for the A37, 460K for the A58, and 920K for the A57, And while the monitors can all be tilted up and down, the monitor on the A57 can also be rotated.

The A57 can also shoot continuously faster than the A37 and A58 can.
Thank you for all of your help. I do believe I will get the A57 in a few weeks. Thanks again!

The A58 is the replacement for both the A37 and the A57. Don't wait too long or you may miss the A57. Some places have already sold out of the older models.

Ohhh don't tell me that!

I see that adorama has a 'used' A57 for 449. Are used cameras out of the question? I hate to be penny wise and pound foolish... or however that saying goes.

EDIT: Jumped on it for 539.... We'll see how this regret goes

I have cancelled my order for the A57...

I am now debating on whether or not I should get this one that I linked earlier. A37 w/18-135 lens or the A57 with an 18-55 lens. I believe I will get more use out of the 18-135 combo, but I'm not sure if I'll like the lower resolution LCD...

Some have voiced their satisfaction with the new Sony 18-135, but as I posted earlier, no one has published objective test results for that lens, so I reserve judgment.

Assuming it is at least as good as the 18-55, would it be worth the extra 30 dollars + a downgrade to the A37?

I *might* be able to get the A37 w/18-135 for 499, if I can, I will for sure get it for that price.
