Default Advice needed - pocketable, low light, great pics and easy to use

Hello everyone,
My wife and I are traveling to Europe in a week and I am in the market for a new camera that basically does it all, which I know is not realistic.

So having said that here is what I am most interested in order of preference:

Pocketable (no DSLR)
easy to use; I am an amateur at best and my wife wants push button simplicity.
great picture quality
decent low light performance
fast auto-focus

nice to have features:
Wifi capability

I would ideally like to stay under 1K for a new camera, but my budget is flexible if needed. I have read several reviews and looked at various cameras and right now the Sony RX100 seems to float to the top, but I am completely open here.

Let me know your suggestions.

You could do a great deal worse that the Sony RX100...
Maybe look at the Panasonic LX-7 (quick AF) or if you want more zoom,Nikon's P7700.
Others- Canon G15 or the S100/110.

Thanks Simon40. I've made notes of these and will be sure to check them out. My plan is to swing by the local CS and get some quick hands on time with each of them. Hopefully I will be able to come to a decision later today and bring one home.

I will let you know what I decided.

I went and checked them all out and decided to go with the Sony. The features and size, plus image quality is what did it for me. Thanks again for the advice
