Default Help! What camera would you recommend?

I am looking to buy a new camera. I have looked at so many that my mind is scrambled.

Here is what I know I want:
1. Would like a 30x zoom
2. Ability to do manual settings
3. WiFi capable
4. Able to take good pictures of kids' activities
5. Under $300

Can I get all that in my price range or am I crazy??
Thanks!

The Sony HX50v might come in around your budget...maybe...?
You're right however,in that your budget is limiting the effectiveness of your wish list.
"Good" pictures... depends on what you're used to or your expectation level.

Based on the comparison of the two cameras you mentioned, I would go with the Canon. I just don't trust the Panasonic TZ/ZS series cameras any more. My ZS8 is virtually unusable, and sits in a drawer, sad to say. The image quality was very good until the dust issue. Hope this helps, and not confuse. Good luck.
