Default Please Suggest for a decent Point & Shoot budget Camera

Hi,
I am from Kolkata, India.

At present, I don't own any camera !
I used Canon Powershot A-60 for a long period of time (appx. 6-7 years or so) with a very good experience. (Sometimes I wonder, how can a 2 MP, 3x Optical Zoom camera can deliver an excellent photo quality equal to some Cameras of ~8 MP, which couple of my friends purchased later, after 3-4 years I bought A-60 ! )
Anyway, I would like to buy a decent P & S camera now with some preferences as follows:
1) Should be of Canon/ Nikon/ Sony (Since brand like Panasonic/ Olympus has no/ limited Service Centres here in India. Though for a perfect choice for me, I am ready to go for any other brand too taking the risk of non-availability of Service Centres but it should have something "X-factors" in it )

2) I am limited in budget. i.e. should be under 10,000 INR (at present, appx. exchange rate of Dollar to INR is 62 [i.e. budget is upto $ 160]

3) Better if it's "Pocket Friendly" Travel zoom type but for quality & value for money model, size/ dimension (also look) does not matter.

4) Manual mode & Wi-Fi is not essential.

5) Optical Zoom should be >=5X . (MP doesn't matter, will print picture rarely)

6) Need excellent Daylight Picture, decent (not extraordinary) Night/ low light image.

7) 720p HD video will do (Zoom must be active in video mode).

8) I prefer regular AA battery as power source (will use NiMH/ NiZN rechargeable battery) but since Li-Ion is used in most of the cameras now-a-days, ready to accept it too (btw, is extra backup Li-Ion Battery & Charger can easily be used while traveling ?)

Actually I decided and narrowed down my choice into 2 --

1)
Canon PowerShot SX160 IS [appx. 8K now]
2)
Nikons Coolpix S6500 [appx. 9K now]

but after going through the review here for SX160 (sluggish burst shooting, slow-charging flash and middling performance in low light etc.), don't want to go for this.
Coolpix S6500 also has some issues (user ratings in online store like Flipkart is not very impressive)
So I am a bit confused !
Though released in 2010, Canon SX130 IS had much more better review ... it is also priced near 8K here ... but hesitating since after buying, every now and then my mind will be saying, I bought a 2010 model in 2014 !!! It is expected that technology for digital camera advanced quite a bit within these 4 years and I should have take full benefit of it !

Can you help to sort it out please ?
Any other model of Canon/ Nikon/ Sony ?
Some models, specially very new releases are not available here in India, please take it into account while suggesting
Thanks in advance for your valuable suggestions ...
TC

Take a look at the Fujifilm F750EXR. Meets all your requirements, I believe.

What about a refurbished camera. I purchased a refurbished canon rebel t2i in 2012 and have been totally satisfied with it.

B and H has a Powershot s100 for $174

It doesn't use aa batteries, but is a great camera for the price. (Canon direct has the same camera for $229)

(I have 4 batteries for my canon t2i for backpacking trips.)

@sayantan13, you can go for the Panasonic lumix TZ25. It is available for 10K INR on popular sites like amazon.in or Flipkart.

It meets all the requirements you state.

Thanks to all for your reply.

@gjtoth

Got really impressed with the features of Fujifilm F750EXR, but as I said, it's not available in India (at least 3 popular online store of India including flipcart returned "zero match" on searching) !

@rainrunner

Actually not really interested for a refurbished one ... wanna go for a fresh model !

@ paray2x

I read about "Dust attraction problem" related something here in the blog regarding Panasonic "TZ" series though not sure about it.
But yes, basically I am looking for this type of Camera, it's pocket friendly, around 10K, have an excellent rating too !
Noted down ... hope it will be available in New Market area cause most of the shops sell (specially for Point & Shoot cameras) Canon, Nikon and Sony and these 3 brand's sell is maximum indeed (Sony & Canon has decent after sell service).

Need some more suggestions though ... wanna highlight some points I already mentioned :
1) Is it worth/ will it be a good decision if I still go for Canon SX130 IS in spite of 2010 release ?

2) Point 8 of my original post where just wanted to know whether Extra set of Li-Ion Battery & Charger can easily be used while traveling (what we do in case of AA batteries).

3) What about Sony DSC W710 or W730 ?

I am still using an 11 year old Minolta camera which suited my needs then, and still works just fine. If the Canon you are interested in fits your needs and budget, go for it. Taking pictures with a camera you have, beats waiting around for something better and not taking pictures.

Truly said
Also, the noticeable point is, both the former one (SX130 IS) and the new version (SX160 IS) are selling almost at same price (8~9 K) ... i.e. No significant price fall for SX130 IS in spite of this time gap (also, the newer version has more features in it).
The fun is though, one of the main reason for my negative attitude towards the previous one also lies here !
My mind expects that since it's an old make, in spite of better feedback, it should be priced much lesser !!! Vicious Circle !

As already said, I used my Powershot A-60 with full satisfaction. I bought it in the year 2004 at appx. 11K INR.

Hypothetically saying, If it would have been still available in the market and priced (say) 8K INR, who would have been gone for it !
(The comparison is not logical though, the time gap for one is 3-4 years & for the other one is 9-10 years ! Just Fantasizing )

For just a little more than your $160 range, you can get the SX280is for $189 from B & H Photo.

Yes, excellent camera with many features ... but sadly again, it's not available in India (I found SX260 HS though in "flipkart", but it's 15K and beyond my budget)

What about Canon Ixus 255 HS ?
