there are SO many cameras that can do those things. do you have a preference of size (pocketable, jacket pocketable, don't care) or a zoom requirement? do you prefer that your camera have a viewfinder? do you need/want manual controls or do you prefer a camera that does it all for you?

Take a look at Panasonic bridge cameras namely FZ150,FZ200 and the FZ70. the first two have the best specs and performance in their class and the last has an awesome 20mm-1200 zoom range and a very decent performance, you may not be disappointed.

Canon's SX50hs seems a logical "all in one" for you...

agreed on the canon SX50is, which is a nice camera, long zoom, good size, manual controls, reasonable price for what you get. me, i'd get the panasonic FZ200, but the canon is definitely a close second.
