Now those are great images, Gary.

Simon, I find it reassuring that you get good results out of the FZ150. At least we know certain superzoom bridges cameras with 1/2.3" sensors can deliver solid results.

And for anyone who fancies birding with a Canon SX50hs... check out the latest post in the Canon point and shoot section...!

I presume that you are referring to an excellent set of images from Tony Britton

While these [small sized] images -do- look magic on the screen I would prefer to see them as 12" x 8" or even 16" x 12" prints before I pass judgement on the lens IQ. I know that the FZ200 lens will past this 'test' ~ I don't know about the SX50

Ozzie- if you click on Tony's images they become larger and then click on the squares (below right)for larger still (X2-Large)- most of the images are probably akin to a 16x12"
