Default Please advise which travel camera

Hi

Im looking at a travel camera with the following properties:

- easy to use
- compact and relatively small in size
- takes decent photos
- has a good zoom

Ive being looking at the Canon Sx710, Panasonic Tz70 (or earlier models) and the Sony HX90V? Which one would be the best of these? Or is there some other models to consider?

It is for a trip, so it would be mainly for scenic photos.

Thanks

The Panasonic TZ70 and the Sony HX90V are the best travel zooms.
Personally I'd take the TZ70, but you can't go wrong with both cameras.

Thanks. Do they both take decent photos? What would you say are the main differences please? Also, is it worthwhile considering any of the earlier panaonic models like the TZ57 or TZ55? Or even the TZ60? Thanks

The TZ55 and TZ57 are not as good as the TZ70. The IQ on TZ60 wil not be that different and also a good choice. The EVF on the TZ60 has a much lower resolution.
It has GPS the TZ70 not.
In low light the TZ70 will be a little better, than the others as it has a lower pixel count.
Apart from that, the quality and features on the HX90X and the TZ60 are similar to the TZ70.

Thanks. Would you say either the sony or Panasonic would take decent photos in auto mode? Not that savvy with the different settings, so wouldn't use manual mode much. Also, I see the sony has a flip screen - is this any use? Thanks

Yes, Panasonic and Sony have good auto modes.
A flip screen can help with taking pictures from a high or low position.

Default distance education

Nikon D810 and Canon EOS 7D Mark II are the best cameras. It has an ultra-high resolution full frame sensor.

I have just bought a TZ60 mainly for holidays/travel as I don't want to carry a Nikon D7100 all over. Had the TZ60 a couple of weeks now, and tested well, it takes great photos, has wi-fi and gps, which I find quite useful
