Sigma 18-200 mm F3.5 - 6.3 seems to be good, but it's heavier than others, and my present is for girl. Maybe, it's better to choose another one?

Thanks.
Jack-of-all-trades-and-master-of-none lenses like the Sigma 18-200 are convenient, but that's all they are. They generally aren't very sharp, and they have a lot of vignetting, distortion, chromatic aberration, and field curvature. If someone is willing to choose one, accepting all the inherent flaws, that's the kind of decision they should make, not you.

BTW, you'd likely get a lot more replies to your inquiry by posting it in a new topic, instead of piggybacking on someone else's.
