i was lookin at some digi cams. and im willin to spend like 200-300 on one. im not an expert on cameras er anything. i was lookin around and i found these 2. they were the same price. 300 at retail, but its cheaper if i looked around. so i was wonderin if anyone could gimme some imput on which is better. ima prolly just use this for random pics adn stuff, nothing special. but i liked these two, they were sleak and small. so yeah, ima just lookin for some help if anyone could help me.

like what would be better price wise. like if i found both at the same price, which owuld be more worth it? thanks

Maybe the nikon coolpix 3700. It has a good movie mode too and has a $ 100 rebate in the usa so the price is really good!

Hi, jerry

all I can comment about is the Dimage Xg, that I bought about 3 months ago I think.I bought it just to be able to take photos, and wanted something that'd be good and notcrap or have something about it that'd make it a crap buy for me

Anyway I'm very satisfied with the cam it takes great pics, knowing about cams a bitin general now where as before I knew sh*t all lol,I wish if anything the Dimage XG had Anti-Shake. but I don't think Anti-shake was on the market a few months ago, cause I did like 3 months of research on Digi Cams, cause I knew shoot all about cams since I never had 1. but I know about computers, and I like to make my own choices on what to get, but I did do a heck of alot of research on alot of point N shoot digital cameras, and read 100's of reviews hehe.

So to answer you, I Can't comment about the other cam, but as an owner of the Dimage XG, I'm happy with my cam. a few things you should know, There is no video out port on the Xg, for like hooking your cam up to the T.V and displaying your photos to friends or whatever.

but if you don't need that like me. then it won't matter to you.

anyway hope that helps a bit
