OK I shoot indoor sports mainly cheerleading NCA comps and B/W full portraits in low light. I have the N90s with a full compliment of lenses. I use my Kodak dx6490 bunchs and really burn up the film with the n90s Its getting costly doing sports photography OUCH! SO I am goin dSLR.

opinions wanted

Hmmmm...both are good cameras. They both have some advantages over each other. The D70 is polycarbonate, and the D100 is a metal body. The D70 has faster shutter speeds, flash sync, and I-TTL. The D100 makes a better studio camera as it can accept a battery grip.

Watch out for Ken Rockwell's "philosophy" though. He seems to hate digital cameras. :P

The higher flash sync speed on the D70 might be a deal clincher with you. That would allow you to use fill flash at higher speeds, and still have a reasonable amount of flash power doing it.

Both are good cameras, though.
