I am trying to decide between the Nikon Coolpix 5200, Minolta G600, and Casio Z40. I'm an amateur photographer and own a Kodak and Toshiba, but it's time to upgrade. I'd like a small camera that can fit in my pocket which is why I narrowed my selection down to the aforementioned three models. I want something that I can ski, hike, and travel with. I have done so with my other two cameras in the past, but they are just too bulky. I also like the Casio P600, but it seems to be a larger camera and I may end up in the same situation that I am currently in--only with better resolution.
It almost seems like a no-brainer to go with the Minolta G600 becuase of the resolution and only slightly larger size than the Casio Z40, but I do like the battery life of the Z40. There's also the Nikon reputation of quality in the 35mm market which has attracted me to it.
I have been spending way too much time researching this and would appreciate any assistance.
