Hi,

I am new to digital photography but after about two months of research I have narrowed it down to these three cameras. I must say tho that I am leaning towards the Canon A80. Could you'll help me out in makinga decision. My budget is about $350.

Mainly I will be using the camera for taking out my fish pictures(aquariums) and also family, nature and definitely landscapes such as various weather phenomenon pictures, storms, clouds etc. I would prefer something with a lot of manual features such as the Canon has.

Finally, is the Canon's 3x optical zoom good enough?

Thanks

Tyrone

Used to own an Ixus. Same CCD, with phenomenal colour. Lenses are usually very good, and A series uses AA's which is good, if not the smallest on the market. Plenty of manual features too. That said, the Canon DigIc processor is very quick, and is very good if you need to take point and click from time to time.

My missus old man has just got an A75, and has not stopped smiling since!

Thanks. Which model is an Ixus? I suppose the A80 is good then.

Thanks
