At the moment I have the Canon S50 camera with an 1Gb Microdrive. I'm looking now which cam could be it's successor. The s60 is ofcourse the real successor but are there other camera's of other brands?

The pictures taken with the s50 are really good. The only problem is, is that I don't like the pictures taken at night. Sometimes I even can't take a pic during the day, cause he needs a long time to focus (and when he can't focus, he doesn't take a pic).

So are there other 5Mpix compact camera's who do the job? I take many pictures and manual controls are a must have.

thanks in advance guys (and girls).

I am also an owner of a Canon S50 and I agree that when taking pictures

indoors or in low light situations the camera really struggles to focus. I have

found that in these situations it focuses accurately once out of every 4 to 5 attempts.

Because of this I am also looking to buy a new camera and would appreciate

thoughts on the Panasonic DMC-FZ10 and the olympus C-765UZ.

Thanks
