I am looking for a basic point and shoot camera which captures good colors in the auto mode and also gives me option to adjust manual controls. I read good reviews on Sony and Kodak . How does Sony compares to Canon in terms of lens , Sony uses Zeiss does that affect the quality of pics.

How is W1 and 753 taking lanscape, night shoots.

Between the Canon S410, the Kodak LS753, and the Sony W-1, clearly the Sony W-1 is the best camera for the uses that you have specified. I can give you a link to a gallery of Sony W-1, if you send me an e-mail address at [email protected].

While the Sony W-1 does have a twilight/night mode, it does not have a sports mode.

There is a sports mode on the Fuji E-550 and it works quite effectively. On the Sony W-1 you could use the P (program) mode and increase the ISO setting to a higher ISO setting, which in turn would increase the shutter speed to be used by the Sony W-1.

Which camera you will recomend Fuji or Sony. I went to Best Buy and took couple of pictures they came quite dark could that be because of no flash ??. Do you have Sony W1 and does Sony has low little noise which matters in capturing colors or closeups ?

I own both the Fuji E-550 and the Sony W-1. In comparing the two, there is LESS noise in the Sony W-1 digital photos.
