Hey guys... newbie here. Need your help. What are your views on the brand new Canon A95? Thinking of laying my hands on one...

Even better if somebody who has the camera gives his/her review.

Thanks alot!

Hi Goodfella,

I'm a camera salesman in Sydney, and since we got the A95 in last week, we've sold a WHOLE bunch of them. I've taken a few sample shots with it at work and the results are quite pleasing. Swivel screen is a big seller for a lot of people and everyone who has bought one has told me how happy they are with them!

Wonderful camera with one 'serious' shortcoming. The widest focal length is 38 mm. Not wide at all. A problem with indoor family pictures, parties and senics. I'd suggest looking at the new Fuji E550. 32.5 to 130 zoom. 6.3 MP. 2" LCD. RAW. Many manual overrides. Under $350.

Hi, I hope I'm not too late with this reply! :?

Members should be aware of this problem people experienced, you can find it @ this board: http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=881

It's aboutpurple fringing and quality of photos in general all related to A95.

I just can't understand why don't they [Canon] expand size of CCD chip?! It's all about that mad "more pixels" race, that's the main reason why photos aren't at expected level.
