I'm close to buying the C8080, I've had a 3030Z for 3 or 4 years and love it. But, for close to the same price I can get the 6mp Canon EOS Digital Rebel. Which, of course, gives me more options in the future. The trade off is the lower mp's.

Am I better of with 8mp or should I choose the higher quality 6 mp?

I am also buying the Canon i9900... So, I will be printing a few larger prints.

Thanks

I think you answered your own question..."should I choose the higher quality 6 mp"; yes the 8080 won awards as a prosumer non-SLR camera, but the larger CMOS imager of the dSLR will mean better pictures with less noise (and the dRebel won its share of awards). If you can handle the controls and learned enough about the technical aspect, I'd go for the dSLR.
