I read quite a few of the DP review sites' boards and their own reviews.

Basically I have 2-3 hundred and am looking for versatility, compact size, 3x zoom, and 4mp. It will be for "hey we're goingsomeplace so I might as well take the the camera just in case" as well for some attempts at creative photography. Don't plan on printing anything bigger than 8X10.

Just looking for some opinions. There's a slew of cameras that fit into this category.

I'd like as much manual control as possible.

Thanx,

Craig

Check out the Kodak DX 7440. It's about $300 and has 4MP, 4x zoom and some manual controls.
