I'm looking to get a smallish ~5 Megapixel camera for mostly taking pictures of things, mostly indoors but some architectural. Therefore I need a pretty good autofocus, fast shutter(this is for tripod-less times), good macro and clean images(digital noise is not good). I'd like CF or SD as storage medium and some sort of 'standard' for the battery. No current brand loyalties, although I've liked the Nikon 995 that I used in the past.
Current thoughts were the Casio QV-R51 and the Nikon 5200, I really like the 8700 more, but it is too close in price to an SLR and too big.
What can you wonderful people suggest, say under $400 street
