Probably photography enthusiasts aren't too impressed with ultracompacts that are merely functional, but I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or experience with iRiver 1000 MP3 playerwithdigital camera - called Prism Eye.

Also I recall there was a page reviewing the Best Ultracompacts that also included the Zippo camera and the keychain ultracompacts. Can't seem to find it...any ideas where the link is?

Thanks in advance,

Compared to today's digicams, the iRiver is ancient in terms of megapixel at 0.3 (640x480 or VGA). When it comes to optics it's a tiny pinhole point and shoot, just meant for teenagers taking snapshots, so it's not a serious camera. It doesn't even have a flash, something that this type of camera crys out for. In one review of the entire device it only gave a 5/10!

All-in-one devices do nothing very well!
