I teach at a college and we're introducing a multimedia class into our curriculum.
I need to purchaseten cameras for the class.
They should be durable, notso small that they areeasily pocketable (stolen),megapixelsare not a concern, and they shouldn't cost much more than $350.00each.

Any ideas on a good choice for the cameras?

The Canon A-series. They are cheap, big but not too big, use AAs, should be fairly durable, and enough manual controls should you need it. I believe the A75 or A80 should be in this price bracket now.

If you buy 10 units, I believe you can push the retailer into giving you free NiMH AAs/charger, carry bag and maybe even 128MB CFs on top of any discounts for bulk purchase. A complete set for all your needs.
