I recently bought a S60 to replace my stolen S45 and I love it except for the movie feature, 640x480 at 10 fps is unwatchable and 320x240 is just really small and still only 15 fps. I'm considering trading it in for the SD300. I know it's only 4 MP, but how do you think the picture quality compares? What other drawbacks, pros and cons do you think their are in this comparison? Thanks.

The SD300 will need new memory and lots of it. You have compact flash memory from your older camera. The SD series uses Secure Digital instead of compact flash. 1MB/sec at 640x480/30. I ended up buying a 1 GB 60x SD memory card because I wanted to be able to record nice videos ($77 shipped at Newegg).

You will likely lose some customization options on the camera and gain a much lighter camera. I guess the S60 takes a better picture too but have never seen someone compare the quality of these two.
