I see where I can get a refurbished DiMage A2 for the same price of a new DiMage A200. The refurbished comes with the same warranty as a new. Any reason to stay away form refurbs?

Refurbs are normally done by the manufacturer & bring the product up to spec (including the cosmetics). I look at it as having it personally inspected & tuned by the manufacturer (something most assembly line goods never get).

I've bought several Class A refurbs, including a Minolta Dimage 7. They all looked and performed as new; however, they came with a 90-day warranty rather than the one year warranty of a new camera.

Class A refurbs look and perform as new. Class C refurbs may have cosmetic flaws.
