I got the SD300, although it has a smaller lcd than the fx7 and no image stabilizer, I find the color of Canon better than panasonic based on their other cameras. I have not personally seen the FX7, but I like the video option of SD300 compare with FX7.

I have been using my SD300 for about 2 months now, and I'm very satisfied with it. The only thing that could change it might be the Sony T3, but I doubt it coz memory stick pro are so expensive.

I'm really impressed by Minolta S414. 4mp & 4 op zoom. It uses AA batteries. It is only $200 which would leave little money for memory & maybe telephoto lense. Go to http://dcviews.com/cameras.htm& check out the professional reviews.
