Ive been looking at cameras and have come down to an Olympus Stylus 500 or a Canon S70. Im not sure if that is a real decision or not, since one might be far better than the other. Im not sure though. I have looked all over and cant find a review of the Olympus. Any opinions would be great. Thanks.

Heres a review:

I found some consumer-reports on dutch which state something like "excellent".
One review does not tell everything though (compare steves reveiw on the sony dscv3 and the one on dpreview).

I guess the canon has more possibilities. However if you need a carry anytime anywhere camera and do happen to get wet and dirty the stylus might be an option.

I have experience with the stylus 410. Its a pity there is no review site which has both the 410 and 500...
As a volunteer firefighter it is nice to be able to carry a camera that is both small and all-weather. It is really durable and can survive prolonged stays inside hot and steamy bunker gear (although not to be taken inside a fire).
only problem isconstruction of battery cover and in case of stylus 410, lens cover.
