Hi All:

Great forum. I am just looking for opinions on any digital cameras that you have used that take 640x480 video 30fps with audio. I have been looking for a while. Thanks

And a thread that lists every camera that does 640X480 video modes or better. =o)
=o) hope that helps...

My recommendation is a high level Fuji, 5100/5500 (US/UK model #'s) or an s7000, or a s602z if they were still made. All good quality shots, and unlimited movie modes. Well at least for the s7000 and s602z.

The canon S1 does 640x480 as well, with average photo quality for 3.2 megapixels with IS or image stabilization. But I'd recommend getting 4 MP's minimum.

Gotta run... Private message me if you have any questions. I sell cameras for a living at Office Max, been with Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Sam's Club as well. =o) Plus I own the Fuji Finepix s602z. =o)

Talk to you later!

A lot of the latest ultra-compacts shoot [email protected] for at least a short while (sometimes 30 seconds). Some of the better ones (most Sonys) shoot unlimited video so if you are into ultra-compacts, look at Sonys (eg. Sony P150, W1, M1, etc)... A lot of ultra-zooms also have pretty good video (eg. Fuji, Olympus (has MPEG4), Canon S1 IS (has better sound), etc)...

The video in digicams is still not that great. They are ok in bright light but horrible in low-light... some digicams also don't let you zoom during video so check for that when reading the reviews...
