I am in the market for a new digicam. My old one was loaned to my boss and it was stolen. Anyway, I have the money in my pocket for the missing cam and of course, want to get the most bang for my buck. Understand that there is some annual show about to happen later this month and there will be some new cams released. How long should I wait to see what is about to come out? Appreciate any comments you may have.

I think the time you should look at is February and something like September. However, keep in mind that it might take a while for announced models to show up at your store. Also prices drop over time so an older "current" model will cost less than a new "current" model.
