I am presently shopping for a digital camera...point and shoot with decent but not top-shelf resolution for an 80+ y/o grandmother. Must be easy to operate withouthaving to run thu a thousand menus, dials and switches. Using it mainly for indoor snapshots and familyreunionstyle pictures.

She has moderate computer experience, so a straightforward download process is a plus.

I am considering the Cannon A75 or the Nikon Coolpix 3200. My concern is that as an amateurphotographerwhat seems easy to use for me might not seem as obvious to someone else.

Thanks in advance

Just to add a bit to this suggestion - the 3700 has a $100 rebate from Nikon, and can be ordered for around $219. Actually a pretty good deal in what is essentially a $130 camera. It has a compact but not too small metal body, and a focus assist light. The lcd gains up in dim conditions, which might be helpful.

Another to consider is the Nikon 4100, which has recently lowered to a retail of $199. It is 4mp, 3x zoom, uses AA's.

The new Canon A510 (replacement for the A75)would also be a good choice, and retails for $199 as well. This was just introduced, so may not be on the local store shelves. I have seen it on the internet though.
