I have been through a Nikon 5700, Nikon 8800 and a Nikon D70. Whiile the D70 gave me the speed I need, I really missed the LCD. Any ideas for a high speed digicam that will focus easliy in low light and be quick enough so that my 20 month old isnt onthe other side of the room by the time the cam is ready for the shot?

THANKS

the D70 would be the choice for me if i were in your shoes because it has the flexability to add lenses and other accesories as you take pictures throughout his/her childhood

plus it is more fun to play with

Look into Sony's V3. It is one of the quickest cameras around and has excellent low-light focus thanks to its laser focusing system. My 2 yr old gave me the same requirements as you, and after doing allthe research, I went with the V3. Good luck in your search.
