"Do you get really clear, crisp shots with the FZ10?"

Yes. Look at the sample photos in Steve's review of the FZ10.

"As I ,mentioned earlier, I will mainly be printing 4X6 photos - do you think I'll be OK with the FZ20?"

1.3 megapixels is all you need for sharp 4x6 photos. With the FZ10, I can do a huge crop and still print great 4x6's. One of the benefits of buying the FZ10 as opposed to a DSLR is that I could afford a Canon S9000 wide format printer, also. I've made 12x16 prints from the FZ10 that are outstanding.

"...I'd like to know how your shots turn out..."

I get great ones, and I get stinkers. The limiting factor is the photographer. The FZ10 is much more capable than I am.

I think the most demanding standard for photo printing from digital images is 300 DPI. That means for a 4 X 6, you would need 1200 X 1800. That's less than 2.5 megapixels. But a lot of people are happy with 200 DPI. With a 4 megapixel camera you should be able to print 8 X 10 with no problem.

Go to Steve's reviews for 4 and 5 megapixel cameras. You can download them and print them out if you want. I doubt you will see much difference between the 8 X 10 prints of a 5 megapixel FZ-20 and those of a Nikon Coolpix 8800.

Anyway, good luck!

I've been looking at all of the sample shots from the different cameras that I am interested in, and they honostly all look the same to me. I'm sure your right - 5MP should be pleanty. Plusthe zoom on the FZ20 is pretty amazing. I also just realized that the FZ20 has the same photo card as my casion EXZ55 that I just bought a new 1G card for, so that also helps with the decision. Thanks again!

Just wanted to tell you thanks again for the recomendation. I purchased a FZ20 this past weekend, and I just love it! I think this was a much better choice than a DSLR for me.
