My beautiful Fuji F601 is toast. I loved that camera.

Can anyone suggest a good replacement? I do not need video, voice recording, and a whole bunch of manual settings. Its got to be small and have a view finder. Prefer a lithium battery but its not a must.

I'm a point and shoot guy. No time to fiddle. All I want is high quality pictures at 6 megapixels like my 601 was capable of. 3times optical zoom is fine.

Now, I have looked at camera reviews. But nothing has really jumped out at me. Canon S500?

What is the latest and greatest? Thanks all. Do not recommend any Sony stuff. I have no luck whatsoever with Sony.

If you loved the F601, it seems the logical replacement would be the F700.

Thanks lucky! That's good enough for me! I'll look for one tomorrow.

I'm probably going to go with the Olympus Stylus 410. It is more weather resistant and the wife's birthday is soon. A local(small) camera shop stocks Olympus at good prices.

I'm looking at the Fuji Finepix F10 for myself next month.
