:?Help. I am trying to find a digital camera I can grow with. My primary use will be snapshots; however, I enjoy taking concert pics. I'm torn between the Canon A95 and the Canon S1 IS. I like the idea of the 10x zoom for concerts, but that seems to be the major advantage. I thought I could use the A95 and get the optional zoom lense, but I've read of some of the E18 problems with the lense.

If anyone has any other suggestions or words of advice/caution, I'm open.

Thanks.

If you want a digital camera you can grow with it's time to start looking at a Digital SLR. Take a look at the Canon Digital Rebel. The price is not too high and you can add all the accessories you you want.

I would say that the A95 is a good start.I doubt that the E18 problem would affect you.It would help us to help you if weknew your budget also.

When you say you want a camera that you can "grow" with, what do you mean?

How are you looking to grow?

By grow, I mean as I become more comfortable with the digital camera, using more of its features. At first, I imagine I will just do snapshots, you know point and shoot like a 35mm. Later, I would like to be able to use some of the additional lenses you can purchaseif I go with the A95 and feel comfortable. I love taking pictures, but I'm a realnovice. I just want to be able to do more with thenext camera I purchase than I can do right now with a 35mm. If youhave ideas on another camera, let me know.Thanks.
