I hook up my camera to my computer, it's all plugged in, the computer recognizes the camera as a removable drive, i click on the icon and it says access denied. I have tried everything i can think of, and I'm stuck. Please help me out. Thanks!

1. For most cameras, the camera should be in the off position when connecting the USB to the computer, then turn on.Check you manualfor your camera to see if it should be on or off when connecting. If you still have a problem, right click on the icon, and check the file properties to see how the computer interpretes the file.

2. If you still have a problem, the easy fix is a $19 card reader. It's much better to download from a card reader anyway.I leave my card reader always attached to my computer. That way I don't even have to take my camera to the computer, just the card. No worry about findingthe connection cables, or accidently knocking the camera off the computer desk while downloading. Even multicard readers are cheap, and it will read 5 different types of cards.
