I am going to need a flash too cause most of my shots are in low light. Any suggestions on that?
PS.... Assume that Ebay was the ONLY place to buy these things. I know it's the last place I should get it from and I'm going to get blasted for suggesting that I'm going to buy it on ebay so let's just assume for this post that there is no other place to get it. I'm just trying to combine affordability and practicality

I would get Nikon - faster, great lens availability, bigger sensor.Olympus has only one feature what I really like - US sensor cleaner. But cleaning sensor not really such a big deal....

Hi: I think you should go with the E300. Better handling, and excellent photos.I love the size and feel. The 4/3 system is better for enlargements without cropping. And the ultrasonic cleaning is a BIG convenience. Who wants to get specks on your photos and have to be manually cleaning your sensor. Believe me, you will get dust on your sensor! It's an advancement that other cameras will be following in the future.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"But you don'thave to buy it on E-bay. You can a new USA E-300 w/warranty from a reputable dealer for usually less than the final price on Ebay - i.e. Willoughby's has it for $761. http://www4.willoughbys.com Also try Beach Camera: http://www.beachcamera.com And there are other authorized Oly dealers whose price wil be equal or better than E-bay.And Olympus itself sells it's refurb cameras on their own store at E-bay. Check them from time to time. http://stores.ebay.com/Olympus-Auctions_Digital-Cameras.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Use the internet and search, but always read the store ratings and store reviews before you order. Lot of fly by night crooked internet dealers out there! Buy a current issue of Popular Photography Magazine, and look for their "check rated" advertisers, them visit some of their websites to compare.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"(Also, don't eliminate the Oly C8080. It's not a dslr, butthe glass lens on that camera is fantastic. The friends that own it are absolutely fanatics about it once they have had it long enough to learn it's capabilities. They claim they would have to spend big bucks for dslr lens to get such comp lens quality) style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000".

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Anyway, good luck in whatever you choose. You will like what ever you choose.

I'm fairly certain what he means is in this comparison between the D70 and the E-300 (6mp vs 8mp)but not the 4/3 system as a whole.....
