I currently have a Olympus 395 and want to upgrade, some features I want are burst mode, optical zoom, sound,at least4 megapixels, something hopefully small and slimenough to carry around on a regular basisand anti shake (I think thats what it's called)as my hands shake a bit and I end up with blurry pictures half the time .. I thought about the HP 707 but wanted to know what other cameras could be a possibility, anything by Fuji or Oylmpus is good also because I have 2 XD cards

Thanks

I don't know if this is the camera that you had in mind, but what about the Panasonic FZ-5. Lots of zoom - 12X optical.5 megapixels. Uses SD cards but they are cheap. It's not super small, but not that big either. Takes movies with sound. Has a decent burst mode. You can get in online from reputable dealers for under $410.

The HP 707 does not have anti-shake (aka image stabilization/IS). Also, neither Olympus or Fuji make cameras with IS, at least there aren't any currently made models with IS.

If you want the combination of bigger zoom and IS, then you will need to look at the reviews for: Minolta A200, Z3/5....Panasonic FZ-series (like the one mentioned above).....Nikon 8800.....Canon S1 IS. There is also one coming from Sony, but I've not seen any reviews for it yet.

You could pick up a Panasonic FZ20 which, I believe, would meet all your needs.

It does take SD media (not xD as you have now) but you can purchase an Olympus adapter that "converts" xD media to SD media so your xD media would then work in the Panasonic FZ20.

I suggest you browse the Panasonic forum on this site. They are some enthusiastic and very talented FZ20 users there who take some truly outstanding pics.

Good luck
