I have a budget to more or less buy any of the 3 subject camera.
They are more or less same price range. Just cant pick which one. Though the Nikon D100 seems much in favor to me.
I am new to digital camera and hope fully your pros and cons comments help me choose the better of the lot.

cheers,
denis :?

I'd narrow it down to the 350d or d70s.
The d100 was a very capable and well built camera in its time but it is slow at everything. It's age is showing :!:

Other than that, it is up to you to choose the lens system you want to buy into :-) .

Peter.

i agree with peter...

get down to the local camera store and try them both out.. then pick the one that fits you best... either way you choose, you will be well suited..

happy shopping, dustin

thanks Peter for your quick reply.

I really did not look at the age factor!

I have thought of the d70 as well; but scouting around on ebay, I saw the price between the two models(d70 $ D100) are almost the same, so I favored the D100 for more of its professional features - though its a little bit old, wud it match up againts d70?. any thoughts on this?

IMHO: Yes, if you can live with it operating slowly.
They are both 6-megapixel cameras with very similar output.

The d70 is much faster, and has more bells and whistles, but is not constructed as solidly.

for the speed alone, i would go with the d70 personally.. peter is right it is not constructed as solidly, but the polycarbonate frame is quite sturdy in its own right and can withstand heavy use..

also, the new firmware for the d70 improves its autofocus capabilities to similar to the new d70s..

again, either way, great camera..

Thanks Peter! Thanks Dustin!

I would sure take a hard look on a D70! Unless any other guys
talk me into buying a 350D instead!

Cheers,

Denis :-)
