Apart from the tilt and twist LCD, the Pana range, particularly the FZ20 fits you bill to a tee!

As regards the lack of a hot shoe on the FZ5, I think it is a good thing. Well maybe not for those who want to use their current flash, but for someone who will likely buy a new one. I say this because you can use an external slave flash & it would probably use a bracket to hold the flash & camera. That would be a much better handling setup that mounting a flash on top of the FZ5 that would probably be larger than the camera. Just a thought.

Except for price, you could also consider Nikon 8800.

The S2 IS is available in the Netherlands, where I live. I'll have to save up for it, though. I'd also like to know what this website and other sites will say about the camera in their reviews.

Did a side-by-side comparison of the specs of the Sony DSC-H1, the Canon Powershot S2 IS and the Panasonice FZ5. Here's the link: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/comp...dsch1&show=all

What do you think?

Pretty much the same price range. I don't know what to think of Sony's storage media, but that's because I'm not used to it. Is it the same as memory sticks for computers? MF would be a plus; same goes for the vari-angle LCD on the S2.
