Which of the current generation of (ordinary, non-all-weather) ultra compacts are considered the most durable and rugged? The Canon SD-series is notorious for its broken LCDs. How about Casio? Pentax? Fuji? Nikon? The rest? Thanks.

I would include the Sony P200 as a very durable camera because it has an extremely well protected LCD screen. I carry mine in a pant pocket unprotected all the time without fear of breaking it.

I have an Casio EX-Z4U and love it. I carry it around in my pocket all the time. There are like 3 or 4 newer versions of this camera, but mine shows very little wear from my abuse. I would not want to sit on it, but even the LCD is still scratch free. Image quality is not tops, but for a pocket point and shoot it is quite nice. I am going to get a DSLR for quality. So it seems to be very durable, as mine has had lots of hard use.
