Can anyone tell me if the D70 had any major issues that the D70s may improve upon but is just not mentioning in the press releases. All products have certain quirks that the new models may address without alerting the consumer.

I've heard something about a wierd shutdown on the D70 after about a years worth of use? Can someone explain this in more detail or redirect to a link that does so?

Are there any other "issues" and are any of them worth worrying about if one would like to save a few extra dollars and pick up a D70 over the D70s?

:-)Yes, D70 and D70S is almost the same. If you want to save money just wait D50 a few months. It has the same ccd(improved???) as D70 but seems photo more colorful. The same money you paid may get a D50 with 2 zoom lense.:-)
