Hello,
I have seen some great deals on the Fuji S3000. Im looking for a camera to use for Aviation photography and regular day to day pictures.

What are your opinions on the S3000? I have read that is not good for night time?
Could some one post a pic of a night time photo with the S3000?

I know next to nothing about camera's

Thanks alot!, :|

The S3000 is an old design that has very limited manual controls, and worse still, and ISO that only goes to 200. Nighttime pics with flash will be limited in range, and pics without flash will be limited by it's short longest shutter speed (hope that made sense).

There are many better ways to spend your money.

Are there any other camera's you would recommend?
My price range is really low!...Under $200 CDN.
I hope find deals on Ebay.

What about Fuji S3100, S5000? other brands?

Thanks

Any sub-$200 digicam from the major manufacturers can do the day-to-day shots, but none of them will be a good choice for aviation photography. I think you might be better off with a used 35mm slr w/zoom lens, one with shutter priority mode, and high ISO film. You will be able to focus quicker on moving airplanes, and get higher shutter speeds with ISO1000 film.

hmmm. Im thinking that I should just save some more money.
I really want to get a digi cam, so I dont have to buy film all the time.

You bring a good point about focusing on moving targets. I wasn't thinking about that factor. I also dont want to wait a long time in between taking pictures.

Which digi cams would you recommend for me?
What do you think of the S5000?
Im hoping I can find a better camera for a good price on Ebay.
