I am looking for a new camera. First priority is image quality and I would like to look in the 5-7mp range. Would like it to be compact (smaller than my Olympus 3030), use AA batteries, good viewfinder, and as much optical zoom range as available followed by digital zoom. Have been considering the Fuji E550, the Sony W7, Nikon 7600. Have I missed something? All recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks for the insight.

It is only my opinion, but I would go with the Nikon 7600. The only negative about the 7600 is the barrel distortion at the wide angle position on the lens.

You would geta ot ofadded lowlight, night time, and flash capabilities if you went with the Fuji F-10, but you would not have AA batteries and an optical viewfinder that you desire.
