I am looking for my first d-SLR.* I have allways been an Olympus OM fan, but I'm just not real impressed with the Evolt E300.* I started looking at the Canon EOS Rebel XT because of the higher mp count, but then started leaning more to then the Nikon D70 because of reviews I've read, and the Nikon reputation.* Then I saw there was a "new and improved" D70, the D70S.* My question is, are the D70S‘s improvements worth a $250.00 (D70 w/lens - $1049.95 + $100.00 rebate, D70S - $1199.95 w/lens at KEH.com) price jump over the D70?* I have read Steve's reviews of both cameras, but I am still unsure.* Thanks in advance.* Jim

There is very little difference between the D-70 and the D-70s. I have a D-70 and I like it a lot. You might want to look at the new D-50, it is supposed to have better dynamic range control.

Here is a D-70 sample photo for you.
