I prefer calling to order so I've bought time till Tuesday unless I driver 40 miles to buy, is the 6.3mp a good value compared to the Rebel XT 8mp ?
I know the results I'd like with research & work,I just need to better understand the road to take thats gets me there.:-)

Thank you & have a Good 4th!

bANG FOR YOUR BUCK IS EITHER THE pentax IST DS/DL WHICH are $750/700 with kit lens and the canon 300d/dig rebel at about the same price. The canon may have better image quality but the pentax is close with much better build quality and slightly better performance. Also look at the Nikon d50 - have not held one yet, but have heard good things and it is just $100 more. All of these cameras are 6.1 to 6.3 mp and will be enough up to 11"by14" The kit lenses are all just ok--I have the ist ds and the kit lense is sharper than the 24-70 sigma that I bought. I picked up an old maual focas 50mm 1.7 for $30 that is very sharp. Good luck on your choice but I'd recomend either actually picking up the ones you are choosing from or buying from a place with a good return policy. I wanted the rebel xt at first (had canon and pentax glass already) but did not like the way it handled.

All were cropped from their original images and retaining their original size.
