I'm looking at buying either the FZ20 or S2 IS (still not quite decided which) but i read that the FZ30 is coming fairly soon, so i wondered if it would be worth waiting for that. I can pick up either of those units for $730ish at present, i'm wondering whether i should wait around for FZ30, but i would imagine that it's price will start a fair bit higher? I found a reference on Amazon for $700US which would probably crack the $1000AU mark if i could afford that i'd be grabbing a DSLR instead. So does anyone know about the initial price for FZ30 and roughly when it would be available?

Any suggestions on waiting for it, or grabbing one of the others now?
cheers.

I went through that learning curve! Fixed lens digital cameras that can oly go as high as ISO 400, are dead in the water.

Take a look at his photo. It was hand held using a Pentax !stDsWITHOUT flash at 125 feet. Can you top that?

Don't forget to check out the new Fuji Finepix S9000 that has just been announced. It's a strong competitor to the FZ30 etc.

Sarah, can you provide the exposure details for your shot? It is quite an impressive photo, congratulations. Neil
