Would you please rank in order the following camera's as to which you might think is best...

Casio EX-Z750
Kodak V550
Panasonic DMC-FX9 (anyone know anything about this one)

For me the most important features would be in the following order:
Effective Flash Distance (for low light indoor pics)
Clear and vibrant pictures highly wanted
Ease of Use
AF Assist Lamp (if needed)
LCD quality & size (2" +)
SD Storage

I do not care about the following:
Video or View Finder

Thank you for your time,
Steve

You obviously don't need manual controls from your selections – the Z750 is the only one on the list that has them. And you say you don't need a viewfinder. My suggestion would be to include the Fuji F10 on your list. The higher ISO capability extends the range of the flash and gives good low light capability. It uses xD cards though. I usually end up marrying a camera to a card large enough to take full advantage of the battery capacity and don't usually swap them around. If you have maybe returned a camera and have a fast high capacity SD card laying around it would be a consideration though.

The FX9 would probably be a little better in available light if you weren't dealing with subject movement. Stabilization doesn't require high ISO and should give a little better noise. I would want to see some good reviews before considering it though.

The V550 probably has the best LCD of the bunch and has nice MPEG4 movies. The Z750 has slightly better movies because of the bit rate, but the LCD is a lower quality and not great in the sun.

The Canon SD500 has the best flash of ultra compacts although the IS system of FX7/8/9 might be helpful as well!

motosf-

In all honesty, your best bet would be the Fuji F-10. I am willing to post great Fuji F-10 photos. I wonder why we never see very many posted photos.

Oh well, here is one of my favorite night photos taken with the F-10. The Kodak V550 nd the Panasonic FX-9 probably can't do that photo at all. The Fuji F-10 is the winner in the high ISO capable sweepstakes.
