I used to fancy myself a photographer, but I have come to accept that what I need here is something small enough that I'll have it with me, and fast enough that it will take the picture I intend to take- I'm taking pictures of dogs, jugglers, and little kids (my own, primarily). I have a Nikon Coolpix 990, which is neither small nor fast, and last week I got to play with a Nikon Coolpix 8800, which took lovely pictures but also, not small or fast. For a while I was saying that I didn't care if it was 640x480, I just wanted a camera that would take the dang picture when I pushed the dang button, but I realize that that isn't actually true, and I do want decent picture quality and other features. Would prefer to have manual controls available (though if they're not very easy to access and use, not sure it much matters).Have been looking at the Casio EX-Z750, though I'm a bit worried about quality control on it. Not sure what my other choices are, though, for a camera which is small enough that I'll really have with me (instead of leaving it in my car, or at home) and which I can trust to take the picture right as I push the button. Suggestions?
