I ended up getting the FZ20. What a camera this is!!

It was a tough decision with this over the Fuji S7000. I only considered the S7000 because of the fact I had a huge amount of rechargeable double AA batters already, but decided the FZ20 was the camera for me.

Its a beast compared to my Powershot A20, but it feels comfortable in my small hands.

I have one dumb question. If I take photos at 2048x1536 resolution, how do I crop them if my monitor is only 19" ??

JL BENEDICT-

You will enjoy the Panasonic FZ-20. Just remember that at high ISO settings it generates a lot of visible noise. Depending on what digital photo editing program you are using you shoulkd have no problem displaying your photos on screen. I regularly bring up 8mp images on my screen with no problem at all using Digital Image Pro Ver 10 and Paintshop Pro Ver 9.0.

I own the FZ20 and always shoot at the highest resolution. Your photo editing program will allow you to zoom the picture down so that you will be able to see it all on the screen at once. You will also be able to zoom in very closely if you want to do detailed work on sections of the photo.

The FZ20 is a really good camera. I think you'll enjoy it.
