For someone new to DSLRs and taking a photography course, which package would you go for? Why? I want a DSLR that will require no post-processing and will shoot JPEGs.

Package #1:
Olympus E-300
Olympus 14-54mm F2.8-3.5
Olympus 50-200mm F2.8-3.5
Olympus FL-36

Package #2:
Nikon D50
Nikon AF-S DX 18-70mm F3.5-4.5G IF-ED
Nikon AF 80-200mm F2.8D ED
Nikon SB-600

package 2.. better high-iso performance (thanks to its larger sensor), part of a larger system of lenses and accessories..

btw- most dslr's need some post-processing.. and you better get over your adversion to it rather quickly, especially if you will be studying photography.. it is simply necessary these days..

if you don't want to post-process... buy a film camera, shoot slide film..
